Job Title: Assistant Greenkeeper

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 DOE

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Greenkeeper to join our clients team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for outdoor work and a keen interest in golf. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the aesthetic and playability of our clients golf course.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed inspections of the golf course to identify areas needing care and develop treatment plans.
- Operate and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient water usage and turf health.
- Engage in the construction and maintenance of course features, such as tees, greens, and bunkers.
- Implement integrated pest management strategies to maintain turf health and appearance.
- Collaborate with the grounds team on environmental stewardship initiatives, ensuring the golf course's sustainability.
- Participate in winter maintenance activities, including tree management and course enhancement projects.
- Provide guidance on the selection of turfgrass, considering the course's microclimate and soil conditions.
- Liaise with the golf course management to plan and prepare for tournaments and special events, ensuring the course meets competitive standards.
Qualifications:.
- Experience in a similar role such as Grounds Maintenance, Soft Landscaping or other Sportsturf environments.
- Experience using ride-on mowers.
- PA1, PA2 & PA6 certifications would be advantatious.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full driving license is advantageous.
