Job Summary
Are you an enthusiastic Mechanic who would like to work in a horticultural environment? If so, we are looking for you to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical repairs and maintenance across various types of machinery and vehicles but primarily in farming/horticultural type machinery. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and vehicles to identify faults or issues.
- Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on all equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while working in the workshop.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance overall efficiency.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technological advancements in mechanics.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is essential
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment is highly desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- A relevant qualification in mechanics is advantageous but candidates bringing relevant experiential skill will be considered
- A valid driving license is essential for this role as it involves driving and testing machinery
