Overview
An exciting Job opportunity has arisen for an assistant greenkeeper to join our hard working team, The successful candidate will report to the course manager and will be heavily involved in the day to day set up of the golf course to a high standard.
The position is a full time, annualised 40 hour working week. You will be required to work every 1 in 3 weekends. Any other overtime shall be paid.
These are the preferrable requirements of the successful candidate, but not essential. Training can be arranged.
Requirements
- Spraying licence PA1, PA2 and PA6
- NVQ level 2
- Chainsaw qualification
- Ability to work well on your own and as part of a team
- Able to use machinery
- Full driving licence
- knowledge of a golf course

Main Duties
- To assist the course manager in producing the golf course to a very high standard
- Maintain machinery and report to the mechanic when problems arise
- Assist with construction projects
- Reporting issues of turf disease and disorder as well as identifying weeds
- Maintain irrigation equipment
- Tree pruning and hedge cutting
- Reliable and punctual
