Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscape Supervisor to lead our team in maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in landscape maintenance and be skilled in using both hand and power tools. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that all landscaping projects are completed to the highest standards, while also supervising and training team members.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations of landscape maintenance, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Supervise groundskeeping activities, including mowing, trimming, planting, and weeding.
- Maintain gardens by irrigating, fertilising, and applying pest control measures as necessary.
- Train team members in the proper use of hand tools and power tools for various landscaping tasks.
- Build and maintain landscape features such as patios, pathways, and retaining walls.
- Conduct regular inspections of landscaped areas to assess health and appearance, making recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their landscaping needs and provide expert advice on maintenance practices.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools for digging, planting, and maintaining gardens.
- Experience with groundskeeping techniques to ensure high-quality landscape maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on landscaping equipment.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively for various landscaping projects.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and techniques for efficient water management in gardens.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and liaise with clients.
