We are expanding our sales team in Surrey & South West London, with a focus on machinery for the golf sector. We are looking for someone with a strong sales background; a skilled closer with a keen interest in groundcare, golf, or horticultural machinery.
This role would suit someone who enjoys a high degree of autonomy, enjoys forging client relationships and working in an evolving industry.
Role Purpose & Duties:
You will be responsible for nurturing and maintaining existing customer relationships, while seeking out new business opportunities with a key focus on golf. Ernest Doe & Sons Ltd has the privilege of selling the most advanced Golf Greens mowers and Fairway mowers on the market, and the promotion of this machine will be a key aspect of the role. With a clearly defined territory, you will operate with an elevated level of autonomy once established in the role. Supported by the Branch & Field Sales Manager to champion your success, you will need to commit to the full sales cycle, from enquiry to delivery and eventually renewal.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Proven targeted sales performance
- Interest in groundcare/golf/horticultural machinery
- Ability to understand technical machinery operation
- Confidence to sell to all levels from operator to CEO
- Professional and disciplined work ethic
- Full driving license
Other duties:
- Representing the Dealership and portfolio of brands to customers in defined sales area of reasonability
- Maintains up to date product knowledge
- Attending customer focused events
- Ensuring products are delivered to the customer in-line with brand and company guidelines and the customer experience is first class
- Build strong and loyal relationships with customers within the sales area
- Customer satisfaction and customer service
- Target driven with the ability to upsell to achieve and exceed targets
- Be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative
- Has the ability to be influencing and persuading and able close a deal
- Have the ability where necessary to demonstrate equipment
- Administratively organized and able to use Excel, Word, Outlook and Google maps
Additional Information
Start Date: Immediate, but subject to replacement of existing role if successful
Location: Esher, Surrey
Hours: 42.5hrs per week – 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday (1hr unpaid lunch). Additional hours as required which may include overnight stays on company trips.
Contract: Permanent, Full Time, Salaried
Salary: £ Competitive, depending on experience, plus commission and company car
