Role
The Maintenance Manager will play a key role in ensuring continuous and efficient plant operations through effective and safe maintenance of equipment and facilities. The goal is to minimize downtime and maintenance costs, optimize resource use, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance plans at the local level.
- Manage and maintain a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Identify and stock critical spare parts.
- Collaborate with both corporate and local engineering teams on new line designs, modifications, and equipment optimization.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team.
- Promote and implement health and safety practices on site.
- Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Manage contractors and supplier relationships.
- Oversee maintenance and CAPEX budgets.
- Collaborate on the development of production processes, procedures, and instructions to enhance efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification of a Higher National Diploma or higher.
- Proven experience managing engineering maintenance teams.
- Essential experience in the food industry.
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications preferred.
- Strong knowledge of facility and process optimization.
- Customer-oriented with excellent leadership and planning skills.
