We have a new and exciting opportunity to join our Ground Handling Team as a Ground Co-ordination Manager, to play a vital part in our busy operation.
Job Overview
- To safely and efficiently operationally manage, the airside operation teams in accordance with RCA behaviours, external statutory and regulatory requirements and all relevant policies and procedures.
- To deliver consistent levels of performance within the constraints of service level agreement of our customer airlines, maintaining health and safety standards and excellent working practices.
Principal Accountabilities
Business and Customer Service Accountabilities
- Delivering agreed financial targets within Budgetary expectations
- Responsibility for weekly and monthly financial reporting against Budget and Forecast
- Planning, organisation and direction of operational activities at BOH airport
- Leading, developing coaching and motivating managers to develop and utilise their skills
- Maximising business potential and revenue. Leading service delivery to customer airlines in line with service level agreements and agreed budgetary levels
- Instilling policies and procedures designed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the whilst promoting sound safety, security and people management practices
- Establishing, maintaining and promoting effective working relationships with both internal and external customers
- Liaising with employee and union representatives on a range of employee relations matters
- Establishes Department objectives and performance targets.
- Monitors daily all reports performance and take action to address identified problems and opportunities.
- Assist the Ground Operations Manager to develop the required policies and procedures.
- Be financially aware of the implication of actions within the Airside function and lead the Airside Managers to deliver efficient working programs.
- Lead the Airside Managers to develop the department.
- Lead the Airside Managers to create an environment in which colleagues feel motivated to do their best work and empowered to make decisions relevant to their area of responsibility.
- Undertake counselling, dispense disciplinary actions and respond to grievances, applying all procedures fairly and consistently in order to contribute to the effective management of human resources and employee relations within RCA
- To respond positively to complaints from users, and where appropriate investigate such complaints, ensuring timely recommendations to Airside Managers and positive action is taken to resolve problems and reduce risk
- Performs other duties as assigned by Ground Operations Manager as required.
- Dispense all accountabilities defined within the Company Health & Safety policy ensuring compliance of all operational services with all the relevant Health & Safety legislation.

- To support the Ground Operations Manager delivering the day to day safe and efficient operational environment.

- To support the Ground Operations Manager in delivering the efficient utilisation of the department to meet the operational needs including prioritising the appropriate resources as determined by the job description.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
- Technical Competency/Knowledge Description.
- Ability to deal effectively with conflicting operational, customer and regulatory needs.
- Experience in a changing operational environment.
- Maintain specified quality standards in compliance with Legal, Health & Safety and Customer Service requirements.
- Strong communication skill and social skills.
- High levels of interpersonal; a skill to inspire colleagues and to create a culture which is open to new ideas, welcoming of diversity, and which generally has a clear identity and is understood and welcomed.
- High level of literacy, numeracy, IT skills is essential.
- Experienced in working with Manager and colleagues gaining the confidence of a wide range of stakeholders to business activities.
- Experience of coaching and development techniques, which focuses on individual needs within a team with a knowledge of career development of self and others.
