The role
If you have a passion for gardening, plants and helping the environment, we have the job for you! You will be part of a dedicated gardening team maintaining multiple sites, including one of the most beautiful gardens in central York. You'll make sure all our gardens and wider estate are beautifully presented and looked after.
We have an opportunity available to join our dedicated Grounds maintenance team on a full time, permanent basis. We are looking for a dynamic, conscientious gardener who is a good team player and enjoys working in a team environment. The sites range from gardens surrounded by historic buildings to modern architecture and developing areas for biodiversity. As well as carrying out maintenance in these areas you will also assist with the care, cultivation and day-to-day maintenance of our student accommodation grounds and sports complex. Required skills and experience
Candidates are required to have -
- City & Guild/NVQ or equivalent horticultural qualification, or a proven track record in horticulture.
- Experience of working as a Gardener on a professional basis and of a practical nature.
- Ability to work as part of a team or individually using own initiative.
- A can do flexible attitude to work.
