WHAT YOU'LL DO
We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations across our growing portfolio of locations. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of handyman skills with the ability to perform tasks such as painting, decorating, and general repairs. Electrical proficiency would be advantageous. The role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, including planned preventative tasks to ensure minimal downtime due to maintenance issues.
This role offers significant growth opportunities as our business expands with planned additional locations next year. The Maintenance Manager will play a crucial role in scaling our maintenance operations and ensuring the continued operational efficiency of our facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Perform painting, decorating, and general handyman tasks (e.g., cleaning aircon units, unblocking drains, fixing cupboard doors, rehanging doors, fixing leaking taps or showers).
- Conduct electrical work as required (if qualified).
- implement planned preventative maintenance tasks to ensure operational efficiency and minimize disruptions.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to source parts and obtain quotes for larger maintenance projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience in maintenance operations, preferably in a multi-location environment.
- Strong proficiency in painting, decorating, and general handyman tasks.
- Ability to conduct electrical work (if applicable).
- Proactive approach to maintenance with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues before they arise.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams, vendors, and contractors.
- Flexibility to work weekends or out of hours as required to complete urgent tasks.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Formal training or certification in relevant maintenance fields
- Experience in commercial property maintenance
- Familiarity with building management systems and software
