This food manufacturing site is looking for a Maintenance Manager that is keen to develop their career with a strong mentor in place -the Head of engineering is able to provide support and guidance in the role. This site is a growing company and committed to quality products and a sustainable supply chain. As Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for a small team on this busy and thriving manufacturing site. This opportunity will suit a natural people manager who is used to working in manufacturing environments at a fast pace with ever changing priorities. Driving when needed, coaching, motivating and above all - communicating clearly. Setting standards, getting the team back to basics and always maintaining momentum. The main role accountabilities are: Team leadership: Lead and inspire a team of maintenance engineers, providing direction, training and development opportunities to ensure they perform at their best. Maintenance strategy: Develop and implement the maintenance strategy including preventative programs to maximise machinery efficiency. CMMS Integration: To track and manage maintenance activities, and ensure all PPM is scheduled through the CMMS. Budget Management: Create and manage maintenance budgets including costings, resource allocation and procurement of spare parts. Equipment Reliability - working with Production, Planning, Logistics and Hygiene to improve reliability and performance of equipment. Track OEE and work closely with operations on equipment availability. Safety: Promote a strong safety culture ensuring all work it undertaken in accordance to safety regulations Continuous improvement: Drive CI initiatives to optimize maintenance processes and reduce cost.
What experience do you need in your background? Proven experience in maintenance management in a manufacturing or logistics environment. Strong leadership and people management with a focus on team development. Proficiency in CMMS and a good understanding of planned and preventative maintenance. Safety first approach to all maintenance work undertaken on site. Work together with operations to build a strong team approach. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
