About the Role:
As a Sales Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team by managing sales orders, liaising with customers, and ensuring smooth delivery processes. Your attention to detail and proficiency with sales order systems will be essential in maintaining high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answering phone calls and handling customer inquiries.
- Processing sales orders using the scheduler.
- Arranging deliveries for online business and liaising with haulage contractors.
- Producing quotations and following up on leads.
- Using EDI for larger retailers and managing the supplier portals.
- General clerical duties, including writing emails and taking payments.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Proven experience with Sage and sales order processing.
- Strong knowledge of Excel.
- Excellent communication skills for customer interactions.
- Ability to work well in a small team.
- Proficiency in general clerical tasks.
Desirable:
- Experience working with national retailers.
- Familiarity with EDI systems.
- Knowledge of the turf industry.
