St Andrews Links is a dynamic and innovative organisation, home to seven golf courses including the world-famous Old Course, a state-of-the-art Golf Academy, three Clubhouses and five retail shops.

We are looking for Greenkeepers for the 2025 season, (April until end of October) to work in the department to help prepare the courses for play each day.

In 2025 we will host the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship on the DP World Tour in early October along with the many regular tournaments held across our courses each summer.

The job would involve working five days from seven while you would also be expected to work additional hours every third weekend on average. Approximate times are 5.30am until 1.30pm through the bulk of the season.

Ideally suited to any greenkeeper looking to expand their knowledge and learn about different grasses, soils and tournament preparations while experiencing a different culture.

This is also a great opportunity for any greenkeeper returning to the UK after experiencing southern hemisphere life and looking to get back into the industry in the UK. For the successful candidates there may be the opportunity for a permanent position if one becomes available.

Tasks would include most mowing operations, course set-up and the usual general tasks associated with golf course maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Cutting all playing surfaces, changing holes, moving markers, raking bunkers and carrying out turf refinement work to ensure that the course is at all times presented in the best possible condition.
To operate powered equipment safely and effectively, to care and maintain said machinery and to report loss or damage to line manager according to Links policy and procedure.
Undertake ad-hoc projects and assignments as required.
Adherence to all Links policies and procedures.
To work within the Health & Safety, COSHH, Risk Assessment and HAVS Assessment guidelines at all times.
Participate in weekend working rota.
Other duties delegated by senior management in accordance with the needs of the organisation.
