About the Role:
In this role, you will perform essential grounds maintenance tasks to keep outdoor environments to a high standard. Tasks include pruning, trimming, vegetation clearing, and operating machinery such as strimmers, brush cutters, and ride-on mowers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform vegetation maintenance tasks such as pruning, trimming, and clearing.
- Operate and maintain tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently (e.g., Strimmers, Brush Cutters, Ride-on Mowers).
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure your safety and that of others.
- Identify and manage invasive plant species.
- Ensure all work sites are clean, safe, and tidy upon completion.
- Report any issues or hazards to the supervisor promptly.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Experience in grounds maintenance, vegetation management, or a related field.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
Desirable:
- Certifications: CSCS, ROLO, LANTRA, Strimmer, Brush Cutter, Ride-on Mower.
- Valid driving licence (ideal but not essential).
