Position: Sports Turf Operative
Location: South East England & South London
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 per annum (Plus overtime rates after 40 hours)

Please note: You need to have a Class C1 licence to operate a 7.5-tonne plant lorry for this position.
About the Role
Chappell Enterprises UK are looking for a dedicated Sports Turf Operative on behalf of our client to specialise in maintaining and renovating natural and artificial sports turf across the South East of England. This role involves:
- Operating specialist equipment to maintain and improve sports surfaces.
- Transporting equipment to customer sites and liaising professionally with clients.
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
You will be an integral part of a committed team, delivering exceptional results that support athletes and organisations to perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and renovation of sports turf using industry-leading equipment.
- Driving a 7.5-tonne plant lorry (Class C1 licence required).
- Adhering to high safety and performance standards.
- Collaborating with customers to meet their specific needs.
- Working additional hours when required to meet project deadlines.
Requirements
Essential:
- Class C1 licence to operate a 7.5-tonne plant lorry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
- A flexible, contractor mentality with a willingness to work overtime.
Desirable:
- Experience in sports turf maintenance or a related field.
- PA1, PA2, or PA6 spraying certifications.
