Grounds Maintenance Operative
Salary £26,304.37
40 Hours per week.
West Northamptonshire Norse partner with a number of local public and private sector clients to provide a comprehensive range of services including Waste & Refuse collection, Street Cleaning and Grounds Maintenance.
The role
We are currently looking to recruit Grounds Maintenance Operative into our Daventry based team, you'll be required to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 630 - 15.00.
You will be working in a service driven team and be responsible for maintaining and improving the standard of grassed areas, highway verges, municipal parks and open spaces across Daventry. You will also be responsible for:
- Using and maintaining hand tools and light plant
- Storing, mixing and applying fertilisers, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and growth retardants
- Planting and maintaining trees, shrubs and hedges
- Cultivation of sites for planting and sowing
Our Successful Candidate;
- Experience working in a ground maintenance or similar environment
- Full UK Driving Licence, as there will be a driving requirement to the role
- Good communication skills, comfortable dealing with members of the public
- Ability to work effectively both as an individual and as part of a team
- Willingness to undergo training and development with process and machinery
