Due to a rapid growth within our business, we are now looking to recruit further Maintenance Operatives to join our busy team.
The ideal candidate will be multi-skilled with proven experience ideally with electricals, plumbing and carpentry.
As a Maintenance Operative you will be supporting the delivery and execution of core planned and reactive maintenance across our estate. You will be supplied with a vehicle and the tools required for this role.
An eye for detail and the ability to work to deadlines is key.
1. RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform all maintenance requests from Head of Facilities and the Maintenance Manager, specifically:
1.1. Assist in maintaining the property and equipment of venues as directed.
1.2. To follow all maintenance requests received from the Helpdesk or Maintenance Manager.
1.3. To meet all legal and regulatory requirements for health and safety and fire emergency standards stipulated by the Head of Facilities.
1.4. To assist the Construction Project Manager.
1.5. Resolve problems and issues that arise during venue refurbishment.
1.6. To be able to work unsupervised to resolve maintenance issues.
1.7. To attend maintenance emergency calls and deal with accordingly.
1.8. To assist with carpet installations.
1.9. To communicate with external contractors as and when required.
1.10. Assist with the layout of gaming machines in venue following a vision plan if required.
1.11. To work away from home as requested.
2. EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
2.1 Experience with electrical, plumbing and carpentry works.
2.2 Experience with working within the construction environment.
2.3 Basic understanding of the Microsoft office suite.
2.4 Experience in procurement of building materials and equipment through trade accounts.
2.5 Solid judgement along with strong decision making skills.
2.6 Ability to work independently when required.
2.7 Ability to work to tight deadlines and changes to project.
2.8 Excellent communication and organisational skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
2.9 NEBOSH and Electrical basic C&G 4141-01 will be advantageous.
2.10 CSCS Card essential training can be provided.
2.11 Basic understanding of networking would be preferable.

4.1 To attend periodic department meetings on agreed dates.

4.3 To ensure that personal conduct is at all times of a manner that reflects favourably on the department and the company and that a presentable appearance is maintained at all times.
4.4 To respond positively, promptly and appropriately to all internal and external customer requests.
4.5 To own and resolve problems, to take the initiative when needed to ensure successful outcome.
4.6 To ensure a good working environment is established in order to obtain the maximum commitment of staff.
