For this role, we are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and self-motivated person who has experience working within the forestry & arboriculture industry to join us as a technician. The ideal candidate will be confident in maintaining and undertaking routine checks on a range of specialist equipment, tools & resources used by our students on study programmes. In addition, you will support academic staff with the delivery of high quality and inspiring practical sessions and supervise students to ensure Health & Safety is maintained at the highest standard.
The post holder will also undertake work placement visits and create positive relationships with local organisations in addition to resource management responsibilities, including machine maintenance. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to help shape the future of forestry & arboriculture within the College.
A flexible and positive attitude is required alongside the ability to challenge and motivate students. The role promises a varied and interesting workload. The role would suit someone who is working in industry and is now seeking a new challenge.

Status: Permanent
Hours: Full or Part-time hours available. Minimum of 15 hours, 2 days, per week, maximum of 37 hours, 5 days, per week. Monday to Friday with flexibility to meet business needs
Salary: £23,554 to £24,262 per annum, pro rata for part-time, which is points 23 to 24 on the Weymouth and Kingston Maurward Salary Scales depending on skills and experience.
