Responsibilities:
- Perform tree maintenance tasks such as pruning, trimming, and shaping trees
- Conduct tree removals and stump grinding
- Assess tree health and provide recommendations for treatment or removal
- Operate and maintain power tools and equipment used in tree care
- Safely climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and other necessary equipment
- Provide excellent customer service and address any concerns or questions from clients
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of projects
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an arborist or in a related field preferred
- Certificate of Competence in Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross-cutting
- Certificate of Competence in Tree Climbing & Aerial Rescue
- Certificate in Felling Small Trees up to 380mm
- Certificate in Using a Chainsaw from a rope and Harness
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to operate power tools safely
- Knowledge of groundskeeping, gardening, and irrigation techniques
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physical fitness and ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy objects and climbing trees
- Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in arboriculture
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
