About the Role
- Responsible for maintaining gardens, glasshouses, and grounds, including lawn mowing, weeding, pruning, hedge cutting and leaf collecting.
- Ensure all areas are kept to a high standard, providing a clean and attractive environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Create and maintain planted containers for Hartpury events, including the student summer ball, sporting fixtures and equine events.
- Keep all machinery and equipment clean and in working order.
- Adhere to Health and Safety procedures for safe campus operations.
- Follow department procedures to promote effective teamwork.
About You
- Adaptable with strong time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team without constant supervision.
- Good knowledge of trees, shrubs, bedding plants, and their maintenance.
- Proficient in operating various machinery and driving tractors with PTO-driven implements.
- Previous grounds care experience is essential; industry-back qualifications are desirable.
- Additional landscape qualifications (e.g., ride-on mowers, brush cutters, PA1 & PA6) are advantageous.
- Hold a valid UK driving license.
