Purpose Of The Role
To collect and deliver data collation, presentation and where appropriate statistical analysis and interpretation across the agriculture department of Avara Foods Ltd. To coordinate and build data models to better explain the complex interaction and expected outcomes of the many variables in agriculture production
This role is part of a team encompassing data collation and analysis, Research and Development and investigation of existing and novel technologies and tasks in these other areas will be expected as well as covering for absences.
- Collate and report data to appropriate timelines both internally and externally
- Carry out statistical analysis of data where appropriate for example in weekly KPI presentations, Trial analyses, investigations etc
- Assess and improve data accuracy
- Streamline the collation and presentation of data
- Regularly assess who uses the data collated, and who should receive it
- Learn the environment that Avara operates in
- Understand the life cycle of the processes, the things that we measure and the way that we currently work
- Understand the data that we currently gather, how it is used, the value still to be obtained and the gaps/deficiencies that exist
- Understand and be a super user of MTech, the main data management system, and all other systems used throughout Avara Foods agriculture

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Through our Training Provider partner, you will achieve a Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship. Learning will take place virtually with a flexible delivery model which will allow you to embed your learning into your role. On this course, you’ll comprehensively cover the skills that effective data analysts need, in the everyday context that you’ll use them. You will learn to transform data into actionable insights and drive strategic decision-making within your organisation.You’ll become confident to perform advanced data analysis, data visualisation, and to drive data-storytelling using specialist tools such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI. The role is offered as predominantly home based with a requirement to travel to the agricultural offices in Hereford and other areas of the business.

- A minimum of 5 GCSEs or A-Levels, a Level 3 qualification (apprenticeship or BTEC in a relatable subject), or relevant experience and/or an aptitude test
