We are seeking a highly professional Foreman with expertise in ground works and sports pitch construction to oversee projects along the M4 Corridor. Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction and maintenance projects, from initial groundwork to the final touches of sports pitch creation. This role demands a combination of hands-on skills and the ability to lead teams effectively, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards, on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and coordinating the activities of construction teams, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Utilising expertise in operating heavy machinery, such as diggers, dumpers, and tractors, to execute ground preparation and construction tasks efficiently.
- Applying knowledge in drainage, irrigation, and both hard and soft landscaping to achieve optimal results.
- Planning and scheduling project work, being flexible to accommodate occasional weekend work and travel requirements, including overnight stays.
- Communicating effectively with all project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and suppliers, to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Foreman in ground works and sports pitch construction, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Possession of relevant machinery operation tickets (digger, dumper, tractor) is highly desirable.
- A solid understanding of drainage, irrigation, and landscaping techniques, with the ability to apply this knowledge practically.
- Willingness to travel and occasionally stay away from home to meet project needs.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage construction teams.
