CRP Group are looking for an Arborist on behalf of their client who are specialists in fencing and vegetation management, working with leading civil engineering contractors, highways authorities and rail networks across the UK.
We're looking for a skilled and dedicated Arborist, focusing on vegetation management projects along railway corridors. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment, maintenance, and management of trees and vegetation to ensure safety, compliance, and ecological health in railway environments. This role requires a strong understanding of arboriculture practices, safety regulations, and the unique challenges associated with working in proximity to railway operations.
The Key Responsibilities Of The Arborist Will Be
- Conduct thorough assessments of trees and vegetation along railway lines to identify health, safety, and maintenance needs.
- Develop and implement vegetation management plans that align with railway safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Perform tree pruning, removal, and planting activities as required, ensuring minimal disruption to railway operations.
- Monitor and manage invasive species and promote the growth of native vegetation to enhance biodiversity.
- Collaborate with railway engineers, environmental specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure effective vegetation management.
- Maintain accurate records of vegetation assessments, maintenance activities, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working in and around railway environments.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices in arboriculture and vegetation management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to arboriculture and railway operations.
The Succesful Arborist Will Have/ Be
- Arb qualifications including CS30, CS31 and CS32
- CSCS, CPCS, NPORS
- PTS
- Proven experience in arboriculture, particularly in railway or infrastructure environments.
- Strong knowledge of tree species, growth patterns, and management techniques.
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
- Ability to operate and maintain arboriculture equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
