Panmure Golf Club are looking to recruit a passionate and ambitious greenkeeper to help with the delivery of an excellent golf experience for all members, guests and visitors. This presents an excellent opportunity for the right individual to enhance their skills and progress their personal development.
Panmure is the world’s 21st oldest golf club and moved to our current site in Barry, Carnoustie in 1899. The original layout was designed by Old Tom Morris. We have hosted many prestigious championships over the years ranging from national amateur tournaments to final qualifying for The Open.
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the day-to-day maintenance of the course. You should have proven ability as an assistant greenkeeper and be able to work under pressure and respond proactively to the varied requirements of a busy golf club. A strong work ethic is essential along with a close attention to detail.
You will report directly to the Head Greenkeeper, Gary Nicoll.
STANDARDS
- Minimum 3 year’s green-keeping experience
- SVQ level 2 sports turf management
- PA 1,2 and 6 spraying certificates.
- Chainsaw Licence desirable but not essential
- Passion to learn and exceed member’s expectations
- Knowledge of the game of golf
- Full driving licence required
- Experience on a links course is preferred
EMPLOYMENT
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Weekend overtime, on a rota basis
- 30 days holiday per annum
- Salary £29,000 plus weekend overtime
