Position: Greenkeeper
Location: East Coast of Scotland
Hours: 37.5 Hours per week
Salary: £28,000 - £31,000 Per Annum DOE

About the Role:
Chappell Enterprises UK is seeking a Greenkeeper on behalf of our client to carry out ground maintenance duties, ensuring that the course is presented in the best possible condition. This role involves various responsibilities, from turf maintenance to customer service, supporting a high-quality experience for all visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cutting all playing surfaces, setting up the golf course, and raking bunkers as directed.
- Performing construction, aeration, and turfing tasks.
- Maintaining high standards of customer care at all times.
- Following Health & Safety policies to ensure the safety of customers, visitors, contractors, and team members, adhering to COSHH, Risk Assessment, and HAVS guidelines.
- Operating grass-cutting machinery safely and effectively, and reporting any loss or damage according to company policy.
- Performing other duties as required to support team operations.
Essential Qualifications:
- Spraying PA1, PA2a and PA6
- Valid Driving Licence
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experienced in operating a range of turf maintenance machinery
- Knowledge in hole maintenance, including inspection, repair, and trimming
- Proficient in weed, pest, and disease control
- Understanding of golf course maintenance and the rules of golf
- Ability to plan and manage resource requirements effectively
- Experience in data collection and analysis related to soil and water
Personal Attributes:
- Positive attitude towards work and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, with excellent communication skills
- Strong team player with attention to detail
- Motivated to adapt to change and uphold staff morale
Desirable Skills:
- First Aid Certificate (training provided if not yet obtained)
- IOSH Working Safely Certificate (training provided if not yet obtained)
- Familiarity with and understanding of the game of golf
