Experience the beauty of nature while making a difference in our residents' lives at Thamesfield Retirement Village. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Gardener to join our team on a 3 month FTC Monday - Friday 10am -3pm to help create and maintain our stunning landscape.
As a Gardener at Thamesfield you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by creating beautiful outdoor spaces that they can enjoy and relax in.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the planting and maintenance of flowers, plants, and trees
- Performing regular watering, pruning, and weeding to keep the gardens tidy and vibrant
- Maintaining lawns, hedges, and other green areas
- Operating and maintaining gardening equipment and tools
- Assisting in the implementation of landscaping projects
- Collaborating with the team to ensure the gardens meet the expectations and preferences of our residents
- Following health and safety guidelines to create a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors
Requirements
- Previous experience in gardening or landscaping is preferred, but not required
- Passion for working with plants and creating beautiful outdoor spaces
- Basic knowledge of gardening techniques and plant care
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
- Physical stamina to perform gardening tasks, including lifting and operating equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to garden maintenance
