Based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, we operate within an approximate 50 mile radius, covering areas of the South East, Midlands, Anglia and London.
We are focused on building long term relationships with our clients by adding real value to their own service offering and by providing excellent customer service.
Summary Of Role
Working within an established, family-run, building company, specialising in insured building repairs. With an expanding workload we are looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Operative to join our dynamic team. The role maybe be supported by an apprentice. The successful applicant needs to have the ability to mentor/coach and nurture a person in training with respect and understanding
Key Responsibilities - Experience in the following would be an advantage
- Skilled Multi-skilled operative required for
- Plastering and repairing walls and ceilings
- Painting and decorating
- Tiling
- Basic plumbing
- Joinery and hanging doors
- Bricklaying
- Carry out work to high standards
- Complete schedule of works issued in agreed time frame
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Take responsibility for flagging variations in work against schedule
- Manage own time effectively
Key Skills And Qualifications
- Holder of a Full clean UK Drivers Licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to deliver a great quality job on time
- Positive & proactive approach to problem solving
You Must
- Hold a full UK drivers licence
- Have at least 3 years' experience working as a multi-skilled operative
- Be hardworking, punctual and reliable
- Have a good work ethic
- Be respectful towards clients and the public
- Have pride in your work with a good eye for detail
- Provide full references and provide proof of your right to work in the UK
- Team player

- Complete a DBS check
Your normal hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Normal start time on site is 8:00 am Work times will vary depending on the work load, you
may be required from time to time to work outside of these hours, so flexibility is
essential. Your normal daily breaks, which are unpaid, will be 45 minutes.

Company Benefits
All full-time Employees (excluding Directors) - based in the UK have a standard entitlement
of 20 days paid holiday per year (April 1st - March 31st). The 8 UK Bank and Public holidays
are in addition to the standard holiday entitlement. There is a pension scheme following a
qualifying period.
