Scope and Purpose of the job
You’ll be part of a team responsible for carrying out grounds maintenance activities and assisting operations at our golf course, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest specification and that a quality service is provided. You'll also ensure that all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to, and equipment is kept in a safe working condition.
About The Role
Primary duties and responsibilities
- Undertake all grounds maintenance works to specification achieving the highest standards at all times
- Operation of commercial ped mowers, machinery, hedge cutters, trimmers and blowers
- Operating non-technical tractors
- Comply with Company H&S Policies and Procedures
- Adhere to company standards such as risk assessments and COSHH
- Timely and accurate reporting of near misses, accidents, and incidents,
- Responsibility for keeping machinery and equipment in good working condition and expediting rectification of faults etc
- Communication with clients and customers
- Any other reasonable management request

Desired Criteria
- Previous experience working in golf course maintenance or similar field.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
- Spraying certificates - PA1 PA6.
- Knowledge of relevant machinery and turf maintenance practices
Required Criteria
- Requirement to work outside in all weather conditions - PPE supplied.
- Flexible approach to work schedule and start times - weekend work included.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to work as part of team.
- Work is physically demanding and requires a suitable level of ability for manual handling.
