Golf Course Manager, Another Place, The Machrie, Islay
Competitive salary including accommodation
Do you dream of working in the Hebrides and have a passion for golf? Do you enjoy island views? If so, we want you! Join us and be part of a team that values connection, creativity, and making a positive impact on people's lives.
The Machrie on the Isle of Islay is a luxurious hotel famed for its world-class golf links and astonishing Hebridean scenery. Having recently joined the Another Place brand, The Machrie is embarking on an exciting new chapter and is seeking an ambitious Golf Course Manager.
Everyday your backdrop will be an iconic Scottish championship links stretching over 7000 yards from the back tees. An original Willie Campbell design dating back to 1891 and redesigned in 2018 by David J. Russell to modern championship standards, this course is now designed to be played in all conditions. The perfect links terrain is set on unique dunelands bordering on the magnificent Laggan Bay in Islay.
We’re looking for a Golf Course Manager to ensure the smooth running of our golf links course and operation. Right now, purpose counts, that’s why at Another Place The Machrie, our overriding purpose shapes our culture, principles and direction. We believe happiness is simply made, that the little things add up, and that people need the time and space to be at their happiest.
You will oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance at The Machrie, managing a team of dedicated professionals and implementing strategies to continue to deliver exceptional guest experiences, maintain the impeccable condition of the golf course and host high-profile tournaments. Your high standards of excellence will be visible everywhere on and around the course and will be crucial to providing the best possible golfing experience. Your collaborative management style will empower your team to deliver your vision for the course.
This is a rare opportunity to take the helm of a prestigious golf course and experience the satisfaction of creating lifelong memories for a wide range of guests.
If you’re looking for a role that will recognise your talents and provide your future opportunities and career development, then we’d like to hear from you.
Applications in the form of a tailored CV and a covering letter (no longer than two pages), highlighting your skills and experience pertinent to the role, should be sent to LHH.
