Chappell Enterprises UK are working on behalf of our client to recruit a Senior Gardener to join their dedicated team, maintaining prestigious commercial sites throughout London – including offices, hotels, and restaurants.

About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident individual to take on supervisory responsibility, ensuring high standards of workmanship and presentation across multiple exterior planting schemes – including roof terraces, container displays, seasonal colour, and living walls.
Based out of Enfield, you'll be managing day-to-day tasks while also mentoring junior team members, liaising with clients, and helping to maintain our client's reputation for quality and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example in delivering expert maintenance of exterior planting schemes across high-profile commercial sites.
- Supervise and support assistants, ensuring excellent standards of work and customer service.
- Build and manage client relationships, acting as the face of the business on-site.
- Carry out general gardening duties, including planting, pruning, mowing, edging, and irrigation maintenance.
- Support with installation, upkeep, and repair of irrigation systems.
- Monitor and manage plant health, pests, and diseases.
- Maintain and report visit records via internal systems.
- Promote and maintain clean, organised, and safe working environments.
- Contribute to the ongoing training and development of the team, including plant knowledge and certification (e.g. PA1/PA6).
Requirements:
Essential:
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance and horticulture.
- Strong plant knowledge and good all-round gardening ability.
- Experience using standard garden machinery and irrigation systems.
- Proven ability to lead or supervise others and maintain high standards.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to commute to/from Enfield base.
Desirable:
- Horticultural qualification.
- IPAF or PASMA certification.
- Passion for learning and development.
