About the role
This is a full-time role based onsite at our manufacturing facility in Ipswich, Suffolk.
Your Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Maintaining the playing surfaces to a high professional standard of play and presentation;
- Maintaining the rough and bio-diversity areas to an environmental standard;
- Managing the irrigation system effectively and recording all water usage;
- Adapting the programs to suit local weather conditions and rainfall;
- Operating the course machinery to the standards set out in the operators instruction book and performing basic maintenance on the same machinery;
- Pruning trees, trimming hedges and cutting back shrubs as required;
- Assisting in the set-up of customer visits, demonstrations and product training as required;
- General site maintenance, including planting beds and general duties associated with the site;
- With assistance, planning and applying a fertiliser schedule for the turf areas;
- Helping with the planning and expansion of the mower testing areas.
Qualifications

As a Greenkeeper Apprentice, we would ask you bring the following skills and experience:
- Good literacy and numeracy skills;
- Able to demonstrate practical skills;
- Logical thinker and the ability to identify and solve problems;
- Good attention to detail;
- Basic computer skills for record keeping and writing emails and reports;
- Ability to talk to people from different levels of the business and visitors alike;
- Entry onto the apprenticeship is also subject to 4 GCSE's including Maths & English 9-3 or equivalent.
