As part of the Grounds Department of the Milwaukee Brewers in Phoenix, AZ, The Grounds Worker will assist with the overall management of the grounds of the Phoenix facility, consisting of major league playing fields, surrounding common turf areas, and plant stock.
Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to
- Perform daily maintenance tasks, consisting of mowing, edging, sod work and seeding, infield maintenance, clay repair, moisture management on all surfaces.
- Assist with the execution of the turf management program, including fertilization, growth regulation, pesticide application, along with proper cultivation timing.
- Execute game responsibilities, including field set-up, observation and correction of field conditions.
Candidates must possess an associate or bachelor’s degree from a college or university in Turf Management; and one to two years of baseball field maintenance related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
