Welcome to Wolverhampton Lawn Tennis & Squash Club (WLTSC) .We are a members club offering 15 tennis courts, 6 squash & racquetball courts, 2 gyms, a bar & restaurant, and host various social events. We have 1,000+ members and are acknowledged as the leading racquet sports and fitness club in the region in terms of administration, development, participation, performance and profile.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Club Manager at WLTSC. The Club Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations, manage staff in areas of hospitality, marketing and house & grounds. The Manager will be in charge of a variety of projects , coordinate events, drive sales and margins in the bar and restaurant, ensure member satisfaction, and promote club activities, all with an eye on ongoing profitability. A very varied job list for a very adaptable individual.

Qualifications

Experience in club management, event coordination, and staff supervision
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Some knowledge of sports or fitness industry would be beneficial
Financial management and budgeting skills
Customer service-oriented mindset
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks
Experience in the hospitality sector is a requirement
Knowledge of Social Media and Communications

The Manager reports to the Club Chairman and will develop close working relations with Committee members who each have specific responsibilities including tennis, squash, and fitness.

The Manager will lead and motivate the Club’s Staff Team to ensure the smooth running of the club.

The Manager will also work closely with the Club’s sports coaches to provide administration support.

And, most importantly, the Club Manager is often the first point of contact for existing and potential members and will require a positive and ‘can-do’ attitude to help resolve queries as well as a proactive approach to member communication (face to face, email, social media)

Salary

£35k pa plus Performance Bonus
