Assistant Greenkeeper

Salary range £28 – 32,000 (dependant on experience)

Rye Golf Club, a World Top 100 Links Course on the South Coast, is looking to recruit an

Assistant Greenkeeper.

The Club’s two courses – which sit in a SSSI – are maintained to the highest standard and the work covers a wide range of duties so this position requires an individual who can apply his skills to all aspects of course maintenance.

You must be a good team worker, have hands-on experience and be highly motivated. The successful candidate will be passionate about their chosen career, dedicated, possess a flexible approach to work, have good communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

Preferred Requirements

Enthusiasm for the outdoors.
An understanding of the game of golf.
Ideally a minimum of NVQ Level 1 in Sports Turf Management.
PA1, and 6 spraying qualifications.
Willingness to go ‘the extra mile’ to help the club reach its goals, working flexible hours and weekends.
The ability to work on their own or within the team of green staff.
A full driving license.
