Royal Winchester Golf Club is looking to recruit Assistant Greenkeeper's to join our existing dedicated team.

Royal Winchester Golf Club is an exceptional downland course, playable all year round. It’s excellent condition and presentation is testament to a committed team, and an opportunity has arisen to join this team for the position's of Assistant Greenkeeper.

The position is full time, 40 hours per week. A flexible approach is required along with some weekend, overtime work, according to a rota system.

The main duties include but are not restricted to:

Assisting the team in all aspects of greenkeeping, including: cutting all playing surfaces, changing holes, setting up golf course for play,
Ensuring that the course is presented in the best possible condition to exceed the expectations of members and visitors
Assisting with construction, aeration, and renovation works
Able to safely operate a wide range of golf course machinery
Undertake specific training on machinery and other working practices

The successful candidate should possess the following attributes:

A strong work ethic, coupled with excellent time keeping
A positive team player who has equal ability to work on their own
Have an excellent attention to detail
To always look for improvements and to work with care and consideration of equipment
Complete tasks in line with Health and Safety regulations
Relevant greenkeeping experience and qualifications are essential.
